Betmonie – Full Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: October 20, 2025
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form the legal agreement between you, the user of the Betmonie website (hereafter referred to as “you” or “the Customer”), and Playtek Limited (“we”, “us”, “our” or “Betmonie”), a company incorporated under the laws of Scotland with registered office at 7 East Camus Place, Edinburgh EH10 6QZ. By accessing, registering with, and/or using www.betmonie.com (“the Website”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
These Terms incorporate and are to be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Responsible Gambling Policy, and the Game Rules for our pool betting services. It is your responsibility to review these documents periodically as they set out your rights and obligations while using our Website. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately cease use of our services.
Our services are provided in compliance with the Gambling Act 2005 and all applicable UK laws and regulations. Playtek Limited has applied for a Remote Pool Betting Licence from the UK Gambling Commission and intends to operate as a fully regulated betting operator upon approval. All activities on the Website are subject to regulatory oversight and designed to uphold the Commission’s three licensing objectives: keeping gambling fair and open, preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, and protecting children and vulnerable persons from harm or exploitation.
2. About Us
Playtek Limited is a private company limited by shares and incorporated in Scotland. We operate the brand “Betmonie”, which is a football pool betting product designed to offer accessible, entertaining, and responsible betting opportunities to players within the UK. Our business model is built around weekly football pool entries, where prize money is distributed among winners according to a pari-mutuel (pool betting) system.
We are committed to transparency, compliance, and the protection of players. In anticipation of full licensing by the UK Gambling Commission, our policies and processes are built to comply with all applicable requirements. These include robust identity verification, anti-money laundering controls, and consumer protection mechanisms. All payments, data handling, and customer interactions are carried out in accordance with industry best practices.
Our platform is accessible via desktop and mobile devices and is designed to ensure an intuitive, user-friendly experience. All game outcomes are determined according to published rules, and winnings are calculated and distributed based on total pool stakes and results validation.
3. Acceptance of Terms and Changes
By creating an account or otherwise engaging with our services, you accept these Terms and confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under the laws applicable in your jurisdiction (specifically, UK law for users based in the United Kingdom). You also affirm that the information provided to us during account registration and thereafter is accurate and complete.
We reserve the right to update, revise, or otherwise amend these Terms from time to time, to reflect changes in legal or regulatory obligations, operational needs, technical improvements, or security requirements. If any material changes are made, we will provide prior notice via email, website banner, or account notifications. Your continued use of the Website following such changes shall constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You are advised to regularly review the Terms, as the version in force at the time of your use of the Website will be the version that applies to your relationship with us. If you do not agree to any changes, you must cease using the Website and request account closure
4. Eligibility and Account Opening
To open and maintain a Betmonie account, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years old (proof of age will be required during verification);
- Be resident in the United Kingdom (or in another permitted jurisdiction as approved by the Gambling Commission);
- Not be subject to any self-exclusion, gambling-related harm interventions, or legal restrictions that prevent you from using gambling services;
- Open an account in your personal capacity (i.e., not acting on behalf of any third party);
- Not already have an existing account with Betmonie (duplicate accounts are not permitted).
Account registration requires the submission of personal details including full legal name, residential address, date of birth, valid email address, and preferred payment method. The information provided must be accurate and complete. Any failure to maintain accurate information may result in your account being suspended or closed.
We reserve the right to refuse any account registration request without obligation to provide a reason. We also reserve the right to impose limits or restrictions on accounts, including deposit or wagering limits, in accordance with responsible gambling practices or legal requirements.
5. Identity Verification (KYC & AML)
As a responsible betting operator and in accordance with our obligations under the Gambling Act 2005, the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, and the UK Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP), we must verify your identity and ensure that your funds are derived from legitimate sources.
This identity verification process, also known as Know Your Customer (KYC), includes but is not limited to:
- Verifying your full name, address, and date of birth;
- Confirming that you are not on any gambling self-exclusion registers;
- Conducting affordability and source of funds checks to detect and prevent gambling-related harm or money laundering.
You may be required to provide documentary evidence including (but not limited to):
- A valid government-issued photo ID (passport or driver’s licence);
- Bank statements, payslips, or other financial documents demonstrating your source of funds.
Your account will remain restricted (including limitations on deposits, withdrawals, and betting) until the verification process is satisfactorily completed. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently close any account where verification documents are not provided or where false, misleading, or unverifiable information is supplied.
6. Inactivity and Dormant Accounts
A customer account shall be considered “inactive” if no login activity occurs for a continuous period of 12 months. An account is deemed “dormant” if inactivity persists beyond this 12-month period.
6.1. Notification of Dormancy
We will notify you at least 30 days prior to classifying your account as dormant. This notification will include instructions for reactivating your account and details about any applicable dormant account fees.
6.2. Dormant Account Fees
If an account remains dormant beyond the 30-day notification period, a monthly maintenance fee of £2.00 or 5% of the account balance (whichever is lower) may be deducted until:
- The account is reactivated;
- The balance reaches zero; or
- The account is formally closed.
We will make reasonable attempts to contact you and return any remaining balance before applying such deductions.
6.3. Reactivation
To reactivate a dormant account, you must log in using your credentials. We may request updated identification documents to reconfirm your identity and ensure compliance with our anti-money laundering procedures.
7. Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password, and any other access credentials associated with your Betmonie account.
7.1. Your Responsiblity
You must:
- Choose a strong, unique password and change it regularly;
- Not share your credentials with any other person;
- Notify us immediately at support@betmonie.com if you suspect any unauthorised access or security breach.
You will be held responsible for any activity carried out under your account unless we determine that a third party accessed your account due to our own failure to maintain appropriate security measures.
7.2. Our Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts where suspicious login activity is detected;
- Block access temporarily during security investigations;
- Require password resets or two-factor authentication at our discretion.
We shall not be liable for any losses resulting from unauthorised access that occurred due to your negligence.
8. Deposits
Deposits into your Betmonie account can only be made using the payment methods listed on our Website, which include debit cards and other FCA-authorised payment providers in the UK.
8.1. Payment and Authorisation
You may only deposit funds from an account or card held in your name. Any deposit made via a third party will be rejected or reversed. We reserve the right to request proof of ownership for any payment method used.
8.2. Minimum and Maximum Limits
We may apply minimum and maximum deposit thresholds for operational or regulatory reasons. You may also set your own limits through our responsible gambling tools.
8.3. Availability of Funds
Deposits are generally credited to your account instantly. However, we do not guarantee that deposits will be processed without delay. In rare cases, payment provider errors or AML reviews may result in temporary holds.
8.4. Verification
In line with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, we may request verification documents at any time, particularly where deposit patterns appear unusual or inconsistent with your profile. We reserve the right to delay account activity until such checks are completed.
9. Withdrawal
Withdrawals are subject to both identity verification (KYC) and anti-money laundering requirements. All withdrawals must be made to the same method used for depositing, where feasible.
9.1. Withdrawal
You may request a withdrawal at any time, subject to:
- Satisfactory completion of all verification checks;
- Sufficient cleared funds available in your account;
- Fulfilment of any bonus wagering or promotion-specific terms.
We reserve the right to process only one withdrawal per 24-hour period in order to mitigate fraud.
9.2. Processing Times
Withdrawal requests are usually processed within 24–72 hours, excluding weekends and public holidays. Processing times may vary depending on your bank, payment provider, or document verification status.
9.3. Charges and Limits
We do not generally charge fees for withdrawals. However, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee if you make frequent withdrawals without corresponding betting activity, or where incurred costs exceed normal processing thresholds.
10. Placing a Bet or Entering a Pool
When placing a bet or entering a pool via our Website, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the applicable Game Rules, prize calculation structure, and the procedural terms of each betting product.
10.1 Accuracy of Bets
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all details of your bet (e.g. selections, stake amount, entry deadline) are correct at the time of placement. Once submitted and confirmed by the system, bets cannot be cancelled or changed.
10.2. Confirmation and Acceptance
A bet is only considered valid once a confirmation screen appears, a transaction ID is issued, and the relevant stake is deducted from your balance. If you do not receive confirmation, you must check your account history or contact Customer Support.
10.3. Voiding and Rejection of Bets
We reserve the right to void any bet or entry:
- If placed after a market or pool has closed;
- If affected by a technical malfunction or pricing error;
- If placed in breach of these Terms or Game Rules;
- Where suspicious activity or collusion is identified.
Where a bet is voided, the relevant stake will be returned to your account in full.
10.4. Settlement
All bets will be settled according to the official results and outcome of the relevant football matches or events. Prize pools will be divided among winners according to the published distribution format.
11. Fraud, Collusion, Cheating and Criminal Activity
At Betmonie, we take integrity seriously. All forms of fraudulent, collusive, or dishonest activity are strictly prohibited. As a licensed betting operator (pending UKGC approval), we are under strict obligations to detect, prevent, and report any activity that could compromise the fairness or legality of our betting operations.
11.1. Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are considered serious violations of these Terms and may result in account closure, forfeiture of funds, and criminal or regulatory reporting:
- Using automated tools (bots or scripts) to place bets or navigate the Website;
- Colluding with other players to gain an unfair advantage or manipulate results;
- Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of bonus abuse or evading limits;
- Falsifying identity or payment details;
- Attempting to launder money or obscure the source of funds;
- Using stolen or unauthorised payment instruments.
11.2. Our Response
If we suspect any form of misconduct, we reserve the right to:
- Suspend your account immediately, without prior notice;
- Withhold deposited and/or winning funds pending investigation;
- Request further documentation or explanation;
- Report the matter to the UK Gambling Commission, financial crime authorities, or law enforcement agencies.
11.3. Zero Tolerance
Fraud and abuse undermine the trustworthiness of our platform and the fairness for all players. Betmonie operates a zero-tolerance policy and may permanently exclude users found to have violated this section.
12. Promotions and Bonuses
Betmonie may offer promotions, bonus schemes, or free entry offers from time to time. These offers are made available at our sole discretion and are subject to their own Bonus Terms and Conditions, which supplement but do not override these general Terms.
12.1. Eligibility and Activation
Promotions may be targeted to specific customers and can have eligibility conditions, such as:
- Account age (e.g. “new customers only”);
- Minimum deposit or wagering thresholds;
- Time-sensitive activation or expiration windows;
- Location-based restrictions.
You must opt-in to most promotions manually. Participation implies agreement to the promotional rules.
12.2. Wagering Requirements
Bonuses often carry wagering requirements—the number of times a bonus amount must be wagered before it becomes withdrawable. These requirements and the games that contribute to them will be clearly stated in the bonus terms.
Example: A £10 bonus with a 5x wagering requirement means you must place £50 worth of bets before any withdrawal.
12.3. Bonus Abuse
We reserve the right to void bonuses and winnings, or close an account, where we reasonably believe that promotional abuse has occurred. Examples include:
- Registering multiple accounts;
- Betting on opposite outcomes or low-risk outcomes;
- Collusion to meet wagering artificially;
- Withdrawing before fulfilling requirements.
12.4. Modifications
We may amend, suspend, or withdraw any bonus or promotion at any time, provided such change does not affect bonuses already accepted under prior terms.
13. Accessibility
Betmonie is committed to making our platform usable for everyone, including people with visual, auditory, cognitive, or mobility impairments.
13.1. Technical Accessibility
We aim to ensure our Website is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. This includes:
- Using high-contrast text and scalable fonts;
- Providing alternative text for images;
- Ensuring full keyboard navigation capability;
- Structuring content in a logical, screen-reader-friendly manner.
13.2. Assistance and Accommodation
If you require support in using our Website due to a disability or impairment, you can contact our Customer Support team via support@betmonie.com. We can provide alternative versions of our Terms, game rules, and help documentation upon request.
Accessibility is not a one-off action but an ongoing process. We welcome suggestions and feedback from users on how we can further improve.
14. Mobile Use
Betmonie is designed for access on smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices, enabling betting and account management on-the-go.
14.1. Device Compatibility
Our Website is responsive and works across most major browsers and mobile operating systems. However, we do not guarantee compatibility with every device model or software version. You are responsible for ensuring that your device meets minimum technical standards.
14.2. Features and Performance
Some desktop features may not be fully available on mobile. While we aim to deliver a seamless experience, mobile functionality may differ based on screen size, internet connectivity, or operating system limitations.
14.3. Charges and Network Responsibility
Betmonie does not charge users for mobile access, but your mobile network provider may charge for data usage. We recommend using secure, stable connections—especially when submitting sensitive information.
15. VIP Schemes
Betmonie may operate a VIP or loyalty scheme, providing enhanced benefits to select players based on gameplay, frequency of activity, and compliance history.
15.1. Invitation-Only Access
Our VIP programme is by invitation only and is subject to internal eligibility criteria. Being a high-stakes or high-frequency player does not automatically qualify you for VIP status.
15.2. VIP Benefits
Potential benefits available to VIPs may include:
- Priority customer support;
- Personalised promotions and cashbacks;
- Higher deposit and withdrawal limits;
- Dedicated account manager;
- Invitations to exclusive draws or offline events.
All benefits are discretionary and may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
15.3. Conduct and Review
VIP members are expected to adhere to all general and responsible gambling policies. We periodically review VIP accounts for risk indicators, source of funds integrity, and compliance with AML requirements. If a VIP member is found in breach, all benefits may be revoked immediately.
16. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
At Betmonie, we take all customer complaints seriously and aim to resolve them fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the standards set by the UK Gambling Commission.
16.1. Submitting a Complaint
If you have a complaint or are dissatisfied with any part of our service — including account activity, transactions, game outcomes, or support experiences — please contact us as follows:
- Email: support@betmonie.com
- Mail: Playtek Limited, 7 East Camus Place, Edinburgh, EH10 6QZ
Please include as much detail as possible, including your username, the nature of the issue, relevant dates, and any supporting documentation or screenshots. This will allow us to investigate efficiently.
16.2. Internal Complaint Resolution
Upon receiving your complaint, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 48 hours;
- Review and investigate the matter thoroughly;
- Aim to provide a final written response within 14 days.
If additional time is required, we will notify you in writing and provide an expected timeframe.
16.3. Escalation to ADR – IBAS
If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction after completing our internal process, or if 8 weeks have passed since first raising the issue, you may refer your dispute to our approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider:
- Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS)
- Website: www.ibas-uk.com
- Email: adjudication@ibas-uk.co.uk
- Telephone: +44 (0)20 7347 5883
- Address: IBAS, PO Box 62639, London, EC3P 3AS
IBAS is an independent and impartial service approved by the UK Gambling Commission. It reviews disputes between customers and licensed gambling operators. Once IBAS has reviewed and accepted a dispute, its decision will be binding on Betmonie but not on you.
16.4. Record Keeping
All complaints, responses, and outcomes are recorded and stored in accordance with our data retention policies and licensing conditions. This helps us monitor systemic issues, improve internal processes, and comply with auditing requirements.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Betmonie (Playtek Limited) excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of our services, Website, or platform.
17.1. Scope of Liability
Without limitation, we shall not be liable for:
- Loss of winnings, profits, anticipated savings, or opportunity;
- Business interruption or loss of data;
- Bets placed on incorrect odds due to obvious technical or human error;
- Delays, downtime, or failures caused by internet providers, third-party suppliers, or software issues;
- Force majeure events (e.g., fire, flood, legal restrictions, strikes).
17.2. Cap on Damages
Our total liability in respect of any individual customer, for any claim or series of connected claims, shall not exceed the greater of:
- The amount of your stake involved in the disputed transaction; or
- £1,000 (one thousand pounds sterling).
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and your use of the Website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms, including disputes regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed from the remaining Terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.
